Opulent eclectic cousin in the Bostan
Bostanlar, mesireler, cayiliklar, pazarlar, meydanlar, what nowadays remains of the ottoman urban structure is unfortunately conceived as unintelligible leftovers.
From breeding land to military activities and even market areas, those zones behaved very differently from western green spaces and are certainly more than conventional bourgeoisie stroll.
The undergoing transformation of those empty areas into unproductive parks clearly shows a lack of entrepreneurial mindset from the municipality.
Those ottoman leavings are indeed an incredible business model that should be re-established. Arguably it’s all a matter of fashion.
Bostanlar and the like clearly need a new marketing strategy.
